Wonderful job on your first podcast. Great choice of music.

Fabulous first time out. I do think it needs a lil more structure just a quick intro that explains what the show is in a pithy way. And this is just a personal bias but I think the thoughts should be slightly less than random.
That is to say, each program should be about something as a loose framework and it can be a really loose framework but it would give the guest something to talk about and maybe steer the random thoughts a little bit. I mean you don’t want it to be so structured that you’re reading a list of opinions about topic x but on the other side you don’t want to ummm and so your way from one disjointed thought to another.
As a potential guest, if you say, “Caleb, what are your random thoughts” I’m going to uhh and err and well… as bad as anyone else but if you said, “Caleb, what are your random thoughts about…” I’m pretty sure I could use whatever the topic is as a springboard to get you an entertaining twenty.
That’s just my two cents though, I come at everything with sort of a traditional improv comedy bent which is neither strictly scripted nor strictly winging it.

Caleb,
There will be more structure. When I have guests on I will talk with them before and we will have a topic to discuss. If someone comes on wanting to talk about something I know little about, I will do my homework. And in the case of a few people I know of who can hijack a podcast, I will use my skills as interview wrangler to keep things on track.
I appreciate you comments and I will be working on making the show more entertaining.

Diva,
There is a player on the site, at the bottom of the Show notes… I will see about adding one to the sidebar. And you are such an early adopter you beat iTunes approving my podcast for the iTunes Store. Until then you can add the direct RSS feed by plugging in http://feeds.feedburner.com/DaphneAbernathy into your iTunes or podcatcher of choice.
Thank you for listening!

sobbing… iTunes hates me! I am itching to hear the goodness that is your podcast! I plugged in the feed but it’s not happy. Will keep trying but just wanted to let you know that I’m thrilled you have another show and can’t wait to hear it

4 Stars!
Daphne, I really enjoyed this podcast. It was very entertaining to listen to, and to get to know a little bit more about you beyond your avatar.
I am so glad to hear that your father went into remission. I know what you were going through. My mom was diagnosed last summer with an extremely rare and aggressive form of luekemia. (So rare in fact, that only 10 people in the world had it, and she was number 11. Her doctors wrote medical journals about her.)
Thankfully, they were able to remove all the cancer as it was localized, and she just finished her chemotherapy a couple of months ago. She’s doing well now, and regaining her strength. And you’re right- Second Life is a great place to turn as a distraction, and better yet- to meet some really incredible people.
Anyway, the podcast is terrific. I love the random thoughts/audio blog format, those are always my favorite types of podcasts.
Can’t wait to hear more.

You should have Laurence, Will and I on to do a press junket for Diary of Anne Frankenstein. Kind of like Charlie Rose for manic abrasive idiots and Will.

Caleb,
I was looking for a reason to have you 3 on and pretty much introduce you and then surrender control.
